Retiring?

Retirement... talk about a major life change!  Whether you are planning on gaining a new hobby, increasing travel to new destinations, or spending more time with family - Medicare is probably going to be a topic of consideration no matter what you decide to do with your time.  Just know when you qualify for Medicare, you don't have to figure it all out alone!  We are here to help :) 

There are quite a number of options to consider (COBRA, HSA Constributions, Veteran Status, and more) and timing is everything.  When you loose your health coverage whether voluntarily (like retiring) or by force (like getting laid off), you have a Special Enrollment Period which opens up to enroll in Medicare.  To be clear, this Special Enrollment Period is NOT tied to any specific month or months of the year to enroll.  It's based on when you need to make the transition.
